Job Title: EHS Specialist
About the Role
An experienced EHS Specialist is required to provide EH&S project support to our Cork-based Biopharma client. The role offers an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Impact Assessments as part of the Management of Change process to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
* Participate in design reviews, Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), 3D model reviews, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), noise and ergonomics assessments, and walkdowns as required.
* Support the closure and tracking of action items from EHS Impact Assessments.
* Perform periodic audits and programme reviews to ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, Integrated Environmental Licence, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
* Collate and report relevant metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Lead or participate in incident and accident investigations and root cause analyses.
Requirements:
* A relevant L8 qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS.
* Circa 5 years' relevant experience in a similar EHS role within the Bio/Pharma industry or equivalent.
* A good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety.
* Ability to create dashboards, PowerPoint presentations and track KPIs, assembling information into clearly written reports and communicating progress to stakeholders.
