Category Manager/Category Business Partner Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Manager/Category Business Partner to take on a challenging role in our organization.
About the Role:
This is a key position within our procurement team, responsible for implementing category strategies and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and improve value from total spend.
* Develop and implement robust category strategies in collaboration with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
* Maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and maximize cost savings.
* Work closely with the outsourced team to develop annual sourcing plans and engage with business divisions to identify sourcing projects.
* Optimize total cost of ownership year-over-year for assigned spend categories according to group guidelines.
Main Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
* Executing strategic direction and transformation within chosen categories.
* Delivering end-to-end category management and sourcing processes.
* Supporting the development of sourcing channel strategy and its associated governance.
* Benchmarking and promoting best practice in category management and strategic sourcing.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Deep knowledge of the assigned category spend, including sourcing techniques, commercial scenarios, and market trends.
* Ability to interpret and understand key issues at executive and operational levels.
* Dedication to developing professional skills and proficiencies through working towards a professional accreditation.
