Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this role include day-to-day SQL Server database administration tasks such as monitoring database backups, managing database reports and documentation, configuring and installing Microsoft SQL Server 2017/2019/2022 databases, proactive performance monitoring and tuning, reviewing existing processes and creating new ones, developing and implementing database automation solutions, and ensuring quality assurance for various database projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure, load balance, and perform performance tuning on SQL Server 2017/2019/2022 databases.
* Develop and support existing SQL Code.
* Maintain a working knowledge of SQL Server concepts, theories, principles, and best practices.
* Stay up-to-date with the IT industry and vendor market to effectively address database software system development and enhancements.
* Research, evaluate, and recommend database educational materials to peers and management.
* Perform other job-related duties requiring equivalent general knowledge, skills, and responsibility.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* In-depth knowledge of SQL Server technology.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
* Excellent technical documentation skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Self-motivation, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations.
* Customer service orientation and experience working in a collaborative environment.
* Availability for occasional work on NA business hours and weekends.
