We are currently seeking an IT Manager to join our IT / Systems Team.
Job Summary
This role is pivotal to the IT department overseeing the use of technology throughout the business including its development and implementation across all areas. This role will also have responsibility in helping to develop, coach and mentor our current IT Team empowering them to reach their full potential.
Main Duties
1. Oversee all areas of the ICT function, working with both internal departments to provide clear guidance for improving and advancing the company’s systems.
2. Lead the planning, execution, and management of IT projects, ensuring successful rollouts of new systems, processes, or ideas while assessing and overseeing purchasing of new and replacement hardware.
3. Manage the IT Infrastructure and liaise with all parties to ensure the smooth operation of all hardware, software, servers, networks and systems with priority given to evaluating risk, and overseeing backup and recovery.
4. Design and deliver training sessions across the company to ensure colleagues understand and use internal systems efficiently.
5. Delegate tasks, set performance goals, and provide opportunities for professional growth and training for the ICT team.
6. Overseeing the development and enhancement of systems and integrating new systems with those existing and provide advice and support when new systems are being installed or upgraded.
7. Lead, manage & mentor the IT team while providing knowledge to help grow the experience/ skills within the team by identifying training needs, and providing ongoing support.
8. Developing standard operating procedures allied to best practice, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for IT staff and all end-users.
9. Ensure IT activities comply with relevant legislation and full responsibility of regular internal audits to verify adherence to law and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
1. Proven relevant experience as IT Manager or similar role.
2. Experience in managing a team and developing people.
3. Excellent technical knowledge of information systems architecture and security as well as skills in areas such as operating systems, programming and development tools.
4. Proficiency in SQL Server and familiarity with the latest Microsoft development technologies such as Azure or .NET Core.
5. Experience with data analysis in Power BI / similar.
6. Proven ability to lead IT projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget, meeting agreed objectives, delivering quality and results.
7. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
8. Flexible, innovative and keen to develop skills.
9. Adaptable and able to work on a variety of tasks, prioritising as appropriate.
