* Live in: Monday to Friday from 8 am until 6 pm (50 hours a week)
* Live out: Monday to Friday from 9.30 am until 6.30 pm (50 hours a week)
Duration: Long Term
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: Within Ireland (Killarney) and overseas
Driver: Essential (family can provide a car during working hours, or a candidate willing to learn how to drive)
A busy family household of 5 is looking for a Live In / Live Out Nanny. The candidate will care for 3 children aged 13, 9, and a 9-month-old (with the main responsibility being the 9-month-old). The older children attend school from 8 am to 2/3 pm depending on the day of the week. Experience with this age group is essential.
This is a full-time position with a very high degree of flexibility to cover weekends and occasional overnights if the parents are traveling for work. The family also seeks a weekend nanny.
The Nanny will be responsible for school drop-offs and collections for the 9-year-old and taking her to afterschool activities. The 13-year-old is in boarding school, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
* Nursery duties for all children, including preparing meals and following daily routines (e.g., naps for the youngest)
* Join baby classes during the mornings once or twice a week
* Arrange various interesting development and educational activities (e.g., messy play, music, reading, outdoor activities)
* Support parents with the children on weekends
* Occasional babysitting and overnights
* Grocery shopping and running small errands
Candidate Requirements:
Fluent English is essential to assist with homework. Good cooking skills are important to provide nutritious meals and batch cooking for the children. The family home is part of a working farm, so awareness of animals and machinery, as well as Health and Safety, is essential. The family has dogs, cats, and horses, so the candidate must be pet-friendly.
Qualifications: Childcare Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience, excellent references, up-to-date First Aid & Garda Vetting.
Ideal Candidate: Organized, independent, reliable, fun & energetic, with a genuine interest and passion for working with children.
Accommodation: A lovely, separate apartment will be provided, with an ensuite, kitchenette, and sitting room for the candidate who wants to live in.
