About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Public Initiatives office as a key member of our team. This is a full-time permanent position that requires strong administration skills and a high level of discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answering patient and hospital queries in a timely and professional manner
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient status updates on various IT systems
* Following up on patient status and responding to queries in a timely fashion
* Liaising with referring hospitals, Consultants, and NTPF to ensure smooth communication
* Logging patient details to NTPF Master Database and making offers of appointment to patients
* Registering patients on relevant systems and communicating confirmation letters to patients
* Liaising with Consultant secretaries, Central Booking Office, Admissions, Day Therapy, and Theatre to confirm theatre slots and collect/deliver/preparation of charts
* Ensuring discharge summaries are completed and submitted, and clinical information is completed and submitted to relevant departments
* Requesting outliers where necessary with NTPF and working collaboratively as part of a team to complete general tasks assigned from time to time
Requirements:
* 2-3 years' strong administration experience
* Leaving certificate or equivalent
* Discretion and confidentiality
* Excellent IT skills and ability to use multiple software packages
* Sound knowledge, awareness, and experience of general administration tasks
* Awareness/sensitivity toward patient needs
* Ability to use initiative
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Hospital experience essential
