We are looking for a dependable and detail-driven Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with solid experience in accounts and payroll processing, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a dynamic, expanding company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring full compliance with Irish payroll legislation.
* Prepare and file statutory payroll returns, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and pension contributions.
* Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
* Carry out bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close procedures.
* Maintain accurate financial records and employee payroll files.
* Handle payroll and accounts queries from staff and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the preparation of management accounts, financial reports, and audits.
* Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts and/or payroll function.
* Strong working knowledge of accounting software – experience with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll is an advantage.
* Solid understanding of Irish payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Previous experience in the construction or fit-out industry is highly beneficial.
* Familiarity with Revenue Online Service (ROS) and pension administration.
