We are looking for a highly motivated team leader to join our Portfolio Administration & Reporting team. We work in a collaborative environment across different departments where excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential attributes, and accuracy and attention to detail are fundamental to the role.
Why this role is important to us
The Portfolio Administration & Reporting team is a key support to the Investment teams, with a responsibility for ensuring cash balances and flows, stock positions and NAVs are reliable in the front trading system primarily through the process of reconciliations to custodians and accountants. As a result we also act as a line of defence to operational risk and require a good level of knowledge across many aspects of an asset managers workflows.
The team is also responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely release of client reporting.
What you will be responsible for
· Oversight of a sub-division of the Portfolio Administration team who are dedicated to a specific set of funds and/or clients. Ensuring all procedures and controls are adhered to across the reconciliation processes.
· Providing support to the team members on issues that arise from the reconciliations to bring the items to resolution.
· Dealing promptly with all queries from Portfolio Managers, Clients and other departments. Ensuring that the team members do likewise.
· Oversight of the accurate and timely input of funds cash flows into the front system.
· Oversight of the production of Client Reporting ensuring that the client deadlines are adhered to.
· Management, with the team members, of fund events – launches, mergers, custodian changes, etc. Collaborating with internal and external parties, documenting project plans and also any new associated processes.
· Participate in the identification and improvement of the units tools and processes. Working with the manager and relevant teams to analyse the possibility of implementing such improvements.
· Participate in the organisation of the Portfolio Administration team in conjunction with the manager and fellow team leads.
· Participate in the co-ordination and communication between our team and the Portfolio Administration teams globally, and with the wider Business Support and Operations department.
· Ensuring team members comply with company policies, e.g. working from home, sick leave, etc.
· Completion of team members annual appraisals.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a team lead/supervisor role is a distinct advantage.
• Minimum five years’ experience working in a fund management, custodian or fund administration role.
• Experience in areas such as reconciliations, ETD/OTC Derivative workflows, onboarding of clients/funds to systems, client support are advantageous.
• Completion of a people management training course is an advantage.
• Fluent English is a requirement.
