Job Description
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Drogheda. The successful candidate will report directly to the Projects Manager.
The company has a range of ongoing and upcoming projects in the areas of environmental and process improvement, energy reduction, alternative fuels, and alternative raw materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver a portfolio of capital projects to support the plant operating strategy in collaboration with the Projects Manager.
* Define project scope with internal stakeholders.
* Manage project execution, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and legislation.
* Liaise with suppliers, designers, and consultants for multidisciplinary project design.
* Prepare Tender Documents for equipment supply and installation.
* Supervise contractors on-site.
* Manage project budgets and schedules.
* Complete project handover to operating plant.
* Conduct design and feasibility studies.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, self-starting ability, and ownership of projects as required, seeing them through to completion. Additionally, they should have:
* A minimum of 7 years' experience in project execution.
* A degree or qualification in Engineering/Projects Management or related discipline.
* Experience in managing safety aspects of projects would be advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Experience working in heavy industry would be beneficial.
