Description of Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to support the financial controller in their growing business.
This is a varied role including responsibility for managing the payroll process, labour reporting, month-end close process, management reporting, ad-hoc analyses and systems implementation.
Suitable for part or fully qualified individuals with necessary financial experience.

Requirements:
* 2+ years experience in a similar role
* Full or near qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, IATI, ACA)
* Experience with Sage (ideally Sage 200) and Sage Payroll
* Experience in running payroll for both salaried and hourly staff
* Exceptional Excel skills with ability to handle large volumes of data
* Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
* Proactive, agile and collaborative approach to tasks
* Good team player
* Experience of working to tight deadlines

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist payroll processing in-house (Interim 3-6 month basis) including time reporting, HR inputs etc
2. Implement transition of payroll processing to 3rd party firm (+36mths)
3. Manage payroll policy and procedures including transition to outsource model and impact on in-house processes
4. Implement new time reporting system including its integration to payroll
5. Weekly Hours reporting and review with Operations staff
6. Weekly and monthly labour reporting including development of labour scorecarding / KPI reporting and detailed monthly variance analysis to support the management accounts
7. Implement new out of pocket expenses system
8. Assist in month end close including processing of month end transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation and maintenance of Fixed asset register/Accruals/Prepayments, Intercompany, tax provisions, SOLDO/Credit card analyses etc
9. Analytical review of nominal ledger and trial balance as part of close including correcting adjustments
10. Prepare Monthly Management accounts including commentary vs plan, prior year etc
11. Development of KPI reporting at cost centre level
12. Year end reporting and Audit/Tax Support
