This is a great opportunity to join our dynamic Consulting Business working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded and driven individual to help build out our growing practice in Ireland.
As a Principal Consultant, you will work directly with our clients, providing expert advice and ensuring Delta Capita (DC) deliver to the highest standards. You will take a leading role in the organisation as part of the firm’s management team. You will lead Consulting engagements, manage client relationships, and drive business growth by identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial services, exceptional problem-solving skills, project management and/or business analysis experience, the ability to manage, motivate and inspire others, and a proven track record of delivering successful client engagements. You will have deep change management experience and prior success as a management consultant or within a change role in a financial services institution, as well as a network across FS.

The Role and Responsibilities
This role is ideal for someone with a mix of consulting experience, client management experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in driving commercial success. You will combine project delivery know-how, a can-do attitude, and a strong knowledge of and network within the financial services industry.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working with regional and international senior leaders to build out our consulting offering in Ireland, deepening our relationships with key global clients and identifying new client opportunities
2. Ownership of client relationships, building and maintaining strong relationships with key client stakeholders and accounts. Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, demonstrating an understanding of their evolving needs, proactively identifying new opportunities for collaboration within Consulting and across the broader firm.
3. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Consulting projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. Manage project teams, provide delivery assurance oversight for resources across the project, allocate resources effectively, monitor the financials of the delivery, including pipeline management of the team/direct reports (rolls-offs, extensions, new opportunities, and pricing).
4. Manage a team of consultants ensuring high quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants, fostering their professional growth and development. Lead by example, promoting a collaborative and innovative work culture in line with DC’s values.
5. Collaborate with HR and conduct interviews on behalf of DC to facilitate the growth of the business
6. Identify potential business opportunities within existing and new clients. Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams and Consulting leadership to develop campaigns, respond to RFPs, and contribute to the growth of DC’s Consulting practice.
7. Contribute to internal initiatives and drive consulting expertise. Raise awareness of relevant client/industry trends, emerging technologies, regulation, and best practice. Lead on knowledge sharing sessions, client events, thought leadership articles, whitepapers, presentations, and industry conferences.
8. Provide career advice and development opportunities for more junior consultants outside of your immediate client project.
9. Propose ideas for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Identify opportunities to enhance methodologies, tools, and processes to optimise efficiency and develop DC IP.
Requirements
As an experienced Principal Consultant, you will have:
10. Proven experience within Management Consulting, Project Management, Business Analysis, or related field, within Financial Services.
11. Change management expertise: Strategy, Design, Analysis, Project Management, Build Testing, Go-Live.
12. An understanding of Financial Services products, challenges, trends, regulation.
13. Experience in managing projects and teams, supporting successful project/programme deliveries across multi-disciplinary project teams.
14. Good knowledge of the capital markets eco-system and participants. E.g. Sell side, buy side, market infrastructure, etc.
15. Demonstratable strong client relationship management skills with the ability to build trust, influence decision-making.
16. Identified opportunities for upselling and cross-selling in previous roles and bring ideas on how to apply this in DC.
17. Personally made valuable contributions to products, solutions and teams and can articulate the value it brought to your employer and/or clients.
18. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
