About the Role:
As the Commercial Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing commercial strategies that drive sustainable growth. With full P&L accountability, you’ll lead the charge in optimizing customer investments, crafting impactful activation calendars, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.
This is a dynamic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio spanning branded products, partner brands, and private-label offerings. Your expertise will ensure that every commercial decision aligns with the company’s long-term goals, brand values, and customer needs.
What we offer:
* Location: Dublin
* Role Type: 12 month FTC (Potential Full-Time Permanent Opportunity)
* Competitive Salary: €80,000.00
* Pension contribution: 6% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution.
* 22 days of annual leave.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial plan that balances brand objectives, channel strategies, and customer needs.
* Profit & Loss Ownership: Manage the P&L with a sharp focus on trade spend optimization, forecasting, and budget control.
* Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities for revenue and margin enhancement through strategic decisions around pack formats, pricing, promotions, and channel planning.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
* Category Planning: Lead the creation of joint business plans, promotional calendars, and new product development business cases to deliver growth for the category.
* Insights-Driven Decisions: Leverage consumer, shopper, and financial data to inform decisions and build a robust data bank for ongoing improvements.
* Project Management: Oversee new product launches, code setups, and de-listing processes, ensuring efficient stock management and smooth transitions.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant field.
* At least 4 years of experience in FMCG within a commercial, marketing, sales, or finance capacity.
* Strong analytical and financial skills with a keen ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable plans.
* Proven track record in P&L management, trade promotion planning, and category growth strategies.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Forward-thinking and highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute strategies for long-term success.
