Job Title: UK&I Facilities & Engineering Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Engineering Manager to join our team in Ireland. This critical role will oversee the maintenance and compliance of our facilities and equipment, including refrigeration systems, racking, MHE, and automation, as well as contribute to new development projects within the UK&I region.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance:
* Develop and deliver a regional maintenance capex plan, ensuring clear priorities and tracking progress.
* Lead the regional maintenance function, offering technical guidance and fostering collaboration between technical and operations teams.
* Manage external engineering services when necessary.
* Ensure compliance with legal and environmental regulations and maintain strong relationships with authorities.
* Drive the professionalisation of maintenance processes, including the rollout of an asset management tool and maintaining crucial documentation (e.g., asbestos, fire risk assessments, F-gas registers).
Project Involvement:
* Collaborate with the central Solutions & Engineering team on facility designs for new developments, ensuring technical specifications for refrigeration, construction, racking, and automation are met.
* Lead the contractor selection process for large projects by developing detailed RFPs and analysing bids.
* Oversee the implementation of technical aspects of new projects, ensuring that best practices and standards are adhered to.
* Stay updated on the latest technological innovations in building design, refrigeration, automation, and controls.
Energy Management:
* Lead the rollout of the Energy Management program within the cluster.
* Identify and drive energy-saving initiatives and opportunities for energy generation, developing investment proposals.
* Share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the Facilities & Engineering function.
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with:
* A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
* Over 10 years of experience in a risk-based maintenance and leadership role.
* A proven track record in delivering maintenance capital projects.
* Strong communication and analytical skills, with a solid ability to make informed decisions and manage projects.
* Experience in change management and the ability to set direction and secure support.
