**Hybrid Role: Business Partnering Analyst**
This position is based in Cork or Dublin, Ireland, and is a 2-year specific-purpose contract. As a Business Partnering Analyst, you will be a key member of the GNI Finance Business Partnering Team, supporting the management of the operational performance of the GNI business.
The role reports directly to the Operations Business Partner, focusing on the COO, CLO, and CFO areas of the Business. You will provide high-quality advice, information, analysis, and interpretation to support effective decision-making, meaningful performance management, particularly for capital, maintenance, and innovative delivery areas.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Liaise with colleagues across CFO and within the business to obtain timely financial information, analysis, and interpretation.
* Develop and maintain working relationships with Directors, Function heads, business unit stakeholders, and the wider Finance team by providing value-added financial insights and advice.
* Support the Operations Business Partner in coordinating both the annual budget and mid-year forecast processes for COO, monitoring performance of financial results against the same.
* Provide Business Partnering services to the CFO and CLO Pillars, including coordination and delivery of both the annual budget and mid-year forecast processes, monitoring performance of results against the same, as well as contributing to corporate plan, supported by the Senior Business Partner.
* Assist in ensuring that financial concerns or issues in relation to opex/capital projects and opex costs are well understood and addressed. Share insights with the wider Finance team.
* Ensure that costs are capitalized in line with IFRS, work with other functions to ensure all assets are capitalized in the correct licensed entity and in a timely manner.
* Support the Business Partnering team and the wider Finance team with monthly reviews and audits associated with commercial contracts and detailed billing queries.
* Assist in reviewing PR's/POs/expenditure to ensure costs are captured in the correct projects, operations, and/or licensed businesses.
* Assist in the initiation, implementation, delivery, and embedding of change and project initiatives in the Business.
* Support and deliver on Price Control related requirements where Business partnering expertise will add value.
* Support the GT22 and CRU annual reporting requirements.
* Support the financial administration of the Price Control Innovation funds, providing insights to the Network Innovation team on budgets, allowances, and accounting.
* Provide insights on COO, CLO, and CFO to the Regulatory and Efficiency Lead when necessary.
* Perform other duties as required from time to time.
**Requirements:**
* Relevant third-level degree and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* A recognized accounting qualification (ACA; ACMA; ACCA) or equivalent.
* Financial Planning and Analysis experience desirable but not essential. In areas such as the development of annual budgets, forecasting, and variance/performance analysis.
* Strong Excel experience.
* Capable of working on own initiative and also part of a team.
* Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others.
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify and analyze problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions.
* Experience with identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas, and implementing solutions.
* Ability to set up ongoing procedures to collect and review information as needed.
* Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
* Ability to set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results.
