Overview:
FRS Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Intellectual Disability Nurse for our clients based in Dublin. The Intellectual Disability Nurse will play a pivotal role in providing holistic care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their health, well-being, and independence.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting comprehensive health assessments and developing individualized care plans.
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
* Providing support with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
* Monitoring and managing the physical and mental health needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
* Advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Providing education and training to individuals, families, and caregivers on health management and wellness strategies.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with NMBI.
* Specialized training or experience in intellectual disability nursing is preferred.
* Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
* Strong assessment and clinical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
