Tirlán is offering a unique opportunity for a graduate to join our Central Automation team as an Automation Associate. This role will be onsite and will be located across our Ballyragget and Belview sites. The successful graduate will be required to travel between these sites and will report to the Central Automation Lead.Responsibilities• Collaborate with end users from the shop floor to senior management level across multiple functions.• Recognize Automation and Operational Technology as a valuable resource to continually grow our business sustainably by reducing waste and adding value.• Work within the site Engineering team in the largest multi-purpose integrated dairy plant in Europe, servicing various manufacturing processes including Cheese, Butter, Milk & Whey protein powders.• Support frontline operators and technicians to troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis, including designing and implementing corrective and preventative actions.• Work with the CAPEX project engineering team to scope, design, build, and commission projects from small upgrades to multimillion euro investments.• Collaborate with System Integrators, OEMs, and Product vendors to investigate new technologies and upgrade opportunities.• Work with IT to continuously improve our cybersecurity stance and enable our vision for the Factory of the Future.• Work with a variety of technologies including DCS, SCADA, HMIs, PLCs, Robotics, and Vision systems.• Practice and improve processes such as incident response, change control, continuous improvement, and project management.Requirements• High academic record in Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Process, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental) or related discipline; expected minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree.• Ambition to progress in a career in engineering in an exciting, ever-changing environment.• Think commercially and deliver customer-centric solutions.• Drive collaboration and build partnerships to meet shared objectives.• Communicate clearly and influence at all levels.• Demonstrate a thirst for knowledge with a desire to continually learn and grow.• Analytically minded with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change.• Accessibility to move between production sites is a distinct advantage.If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date resume.We offer• 2-year structured graduate development programme• Site or team rotations as part of the programme• Year-on-year salary increment• Free parking including EV charging – where applicable• Bike to work scheme• Work/life balance and collaborative work culture• Career progression opportunitiesAbout usThrough our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety, and state-of-the-art manufacturing, we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market.
