Senior SESAR Managerreporting to the Head of Transformation.
This role has full accountability and profile for strategy, governance, pace, testing and functional confident delivery for a range of projects under the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) umbrella, currently the Common Project 1 (CP1) programme,which is a key deliverable for Dublin Airport and is mandated by the EU.
The programme aims to modernise the European Air Traffic Management network to be more efficient and able to cope with projected c.50% growth by 2050.
Dublin Airport, as a major hub, plays a key role in achieving this.
The role encompasses strong external and internal stakeholder management, managing a diverse steering group, various project teams, strong communications and regular reporting to the MD Dublin, GM of Ops, and wider senior management team including Labs and Safety, Regulation & Compliance.
The incumbent will be a credible and experienced manager, setting direction, pace and example in support of the advancement and successful delivery of Operational excellence.
They will be committed to working effectively and collaboratively to drive Operations priorities, whilst ensuring that CP1 compliance is achieved, and the EU funding opportunity is achieved.
Set the strategic direction for the overall SESAR ( Single European Sky ATM Research) programme in conjunction with Sponsor and relevant daa senior management Maintain the SESAR programme with appropriate governance & control Ensure daa remains compliant with CP1 legislation and subsequent legislation Responsible for financial and technical reporting to EU funding bodies, including compliance with reporting regulations and audits as required Lead teams delivering mandatory validations (including A-CDM, i AOP/NOP and AOP/NOP) with Eurocontrol as the key stakeholder Establish the scope of work for AOP, ACADIA and other mandatory projects and collaborate with IT and Operational teams to ensure sufficient resource to deliver to a level that meets or exceeds EU requirements Drive strong external and internal engagement with stakeholders.
The role involves significant external stakeholder liaison, including various EU-related bodies, Eurocontrol, IAA, Air Nav, ACI, partner Airports & ANSPs The role involves occasional European travel Experience Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position Skills Degree in Programme Management, Aviation qualification, Engineering or IT preferable Excellent Leadership, Communication, Influencing and Interpersonal skills Experience of managing interdisciplinary teams that interface with large scale projects and programmes Significant airport management and Aviation regulatory framework experience Strong knowledge of Dublin Airport structure, systems, processes and people Programme / Project Management and delivery experience Analytical experience, preferably dealing with diverse types of data and subsequent insights.
