We are looking to hire for a full time, fully flexible Chef Assistant for our Donnybrook Fair Cafe in Malahide.

This is a full time role where you will be expected to work various shift patterns across the week. Please don't apply if you aren't available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week or if you aren't fully flexible throughout the week. Responsibilities:Assisting in the food preparation processCooking and preparing meals as per menuAssisting Chef for daily operationsHelping with deliveries and restockingAssisting with stock rotation, waste managementContributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standardsEnsure the best customer service is provided at all timesHACCP checks and compliance on a daily basisMaintain cleanliness in the kitchen and 'clean as you go' attitude throughout your shiftsThe ideal candidate will have/be:As a Chef Assistant you will need: Level 1 and 2 Food SafetyMinimum 1 year relevant experienceAwareness of manual handling techniquesAwareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safetyExperience of kitchen equipmentCompetent level of English spoken and writtenAbility to work on own initiative & as a part of the teamUnderstanding of health and safety & basic food hygiene practicesAdaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
