Senior Solicitor/Associate Property Recoveries

About the Role
* Lead the specialist Property Recoveries team providing expert, practical advice across various areas, including Subrogated Property Claims, Uninsured Loss Recoveries, Recovery of Overpayments and Duplicate Payments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of litigated recovery files while supervising a small number of team members.
* Team Leadership: Motivate and engage your team, overseeing their well-being and performance.
* Conduct performance reviews to identify strengths, development needs, and career progression opportunities.
* Recognise and reward positive contributions, manage absences, and oversee inductions for new team members.
* Case Management: Devise clear case strategies to ensure cases are handled efficiently, balancing client and firm interests.
* Meet internal and client SLAs, KPIs, and protocols while achieving financial targets.
* Manage risk and compliance issues, escalating concerns promptly as needed.
* Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to billing, trust balance clearance, and case archiving procedures.
* Provide accurate management information (MI) and uphold quality standards.
* Apply up-to-date technical expertise and case law in recoveries investigation.
* Client Engagement and Business Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct engagement.
* Support the Team Partner with business development and client relationship initiatives.
Requirements
* Experience: Recoveries or litigation experience is ideal; team management or supervision experience is a plus.
* Technical Skills: Ability to adopt a commercial perspective in claims settlement and learn technical aspects of recoveries.
* Client-Focused: Confident in engaging with clients, both virtually and in person.
* Organised: Able to manage multiple deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
* Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with case management systems is advantageous.
* Performance-Oriented: Demonstrates personal financial performance and compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
* Leader and Mentor: Skilled at motivating, coaching, and mentoring colleagues at all levels.
