The Role
As Communications Executive, you will play a key role in developing and delivering the internal and external communications strategy for Ardonagh Europe. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will work closely with senior leadership, HR, marketing, and other key stakeholders to drive employee engagement, enhance corporate messaging, and strengthen Ardonagh Europe’s brand.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong writing and content creation skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will act as the communications business partner to Ardonagh Europe’s leadership, helping shape and deliver key messages that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Role Accountabilities:
1. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
* Develop and implement a robust internal communications strategy to support business objectives and enhance employee engagement across Ardonagh Europe.
* Advise senior leaders on messaging and communication best practices to ensure alignment across all levels of the business.
* Create and manage engaging internal content, including leadership updates, newsletters, corporate announcements, and employee storytelling initiatives.
* Coordinate and execute key internal events such as town halls, leadership briefings, and employee engagement activities.
* Support cultural initiatives, including diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being programs, ensuring clear and impactful communication.
* Lead the internal communications response during times of business change, acquisitions, or restructuring, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely messaging.
2. External Communications & Brand Management
* Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all internal and external communications align with Ardonagh Europe’s strategic narrative and visual identity.
* Develop and maintain corporate messaging materials, including key presentation decks, fact sheets, and business overviews for internal and external stakeholders.
* Work with Ardonagh Group’s Communications team to align messaging and branding across all markets and business areas.
* Manage external corporate announcements, including M&A activity, in collaboration with the Group Communications team.
* Proactively monitor and manage reputational risks, responding to potential challenges and ensuring positive brand positioning.
3. Content Strategy & Digital Engagement
* Create, manage, and oversee engaging content across internal platforms (e.g., intranet, newsletters, leadership messaging) and external channels (e.g., LinkedIn, corporate websites).
* Develop a proactive content calendar, ensuring a steady flow of relevant and engaging communication for employees and external stakeholders.
* Support the rollout and adoption of internal communication tools, ensuring they are used effectively to engage employees.
* Collaborate with the wider Ardonagh Group Communications team to share best practices and leverage group-wide initiatives.
4. CSR, ESG & Events
* Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement across Ardonagh Europe.
* Work with the Ardonagh Community Trust Manager to promote charitable activities and encourage employee participation.
* Plan and execute corporate events, including leadership conferences, team engagement activities, and external networking opportunities.
Qualifications, Experience & Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or marketing within a multi-site, fast-paced organisation.
* Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills, with the ability to craft clear and engaging messages for diverse audiences.
* Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to confidently advise senior leadership and collaborate across different teams.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience using internal communications platforms and digital engagement tools, with a good understanding of best practices in employee engagement.
* Strategic thinker, able to develop high-impact communication plans while also being hands-on in execution.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Financial services or insurance industry experience is highly advantageous.
* Proficiency in video editing or visual content creation would be beneficial.
* German language skills are a plus but not essential.
