The Role
As Communications Executive, you will play a hands-on role in delivering internal communications that inform, engage, and connect employees across Ardonagh Europe. You will also support external social media execution through content creation, scheduling, and posting.
Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communications, you will own several projects end‑to‑end, from content development to channel execution, and you will contribute to shaping Ardonagh Europe's communications strategy by providing insights, ideas, and recommendations grounded in engagement data and on‑the‑ground experience.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and digital communicator with a passion for creating compelling stories, multimedia content, and consistent execution across internal and external channels.
Key Role Accountabilities:
1. Internal Communications & Engagement
2. Create and publish content across email, intranet, newsletters, internal social platforms, and video.
3. Support delivery of internal communications plans and leadership messaging, contributing ideas and identifying opportunities to improve impact.
4. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the Ardonagh Europe narrative and brand.
5. Act as a key point of contact for local teams, helping to surface stories and coordinate content needs across countries.
6. Digital Channels & Content Management
7. Manage, update, and continuously improve intranet content and functionality, ensuring information is engaging and easy to access.
8. Curate and post content on internal social platforms to strengthen collaboration, community, and engagement.
9. Drive production of internal newsletters, tracking performance to inform future content decisions.
10. Collaborate with the wider Ardonagh Group Communications team to align on messaging, share best practices, and leverage Group-wide campaigns.
11. Storytelling and Multimedia
12. Identify and develop compelling stories that reflect the culture, people, and strategic initiatives of Ardonagh Europe.
13. Produce narrative‑driven content, including articles, features, spotlights, interviews, and internal campaign stories.
14. Support video and multimedia creation, from scripting and storyboarding to coordinating shoots and light editing.
15. Build visual storytelling assets (e.g., graphics, short videos, simple animations) that make complex topics easy to understand.
16. Maintain a "story pipeline" to ensure a consistent flow of engaging content throughout the year.
17. External Social Media:
18. Create content for selected Ardonagh Europe external social media channels, showcasing our people and initiatives and supporting employer brand visibility.
19. Maintain an organised social media calendar, ensuring consistent posting cadence.
20. Align with Group Communications to ensure consistency with brand standards and Group messaging.
21. Track engagement and bring forward insights to help shape future content direction.
Qualifications, Experience & Person Specification
Essential:
* 5-10 years' experience in internal communications and content creation.
* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
* Experience with intranets, email tools, and social media.
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Desirable:
* Insurance or financial services experience.
* Basic video editing or visual content creation.
* French, German, Italian or Dutch language proficiency is desirable.
