Role: Mechanic/Fitter

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. Due to growth and development in our Engineering team, we’re now looking for skilled Mechanics/Fitters to join us in the field and within our workshop.
We are keen to see CVs from candidates who have experience within one of the following sectors: forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, HGVs, passenger carrying vehicles or similar machinery.
In this role you will be:
1. Adhering to all health and safety guidelines
2. Servicing and maintaining diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment.
3. Fault finding and completing planned preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspection of forklift trucks.
4. Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas
5. Completing job cards and ensuring all required parts to complete tasks are ordered.
6. Providing a professional and friendly customer service experience.
What will help you to excel in this role:
1. Relevant technical qualification
2. Previous experience within a similar role
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles
4. The ability to work independently and under pressure.
