Financial Accountant Role
We are partnering with a leading employer in West Cork to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join their professional Finance team.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards (Irish GAAP or IFRS, as applicable).
2. Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements: Manage the preparation of these key financial statements.
3. Reporting and Analysis: Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, including variance analysis.
4. Transaction Recording: Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded, including sales, purchases, inventory movements, and finance transactions.
5. Sales and Purchase Processing: Review and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and credit notes.
6. Chart of Accounts Maintenance: Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure appropriate coding and classification of transactions.
7. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and receipts.
8. Inventory Accounting: Manage inventory accounting, including stock levels, valuations, and related accounting entries.
9. Stock Audits and Compliance: Coordinate stock audits and ensure compliance with internal controls for inventory management.
10. Monthly Stock Reconciliations: Prepare monthly stock reconciliations and report on variances.
11. VAT Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with Irish VAT regulations.
12. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
13. Audit Readiness: Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring records and documentation are complete and accurate.
Requirements:
1. Professional Qualification: Professional Accounting Qualification required.
2. Experience: 3 Years PQE Experience minimum.
3. ERP Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of ERP Systems necessary.
4. Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel required.
5. Time Management: Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
