Your Role:
As a Residential Healthcare Assistant, you will be at the heart of our care philosophy. You'll not only assist residents with daily living activities but also ensure their emotional and social needs are met through engaging interactions and creative activities.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Build meaningful relationships with residents, promoting trust and understanding.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and medication support as needed.
* Lead or support activities that encourage resident engagement, such as social events, hobbies, or exercise sessions.
* Monitor and report on resident well-being, communicating effectively with the care team.
* Create a warm, home-like atmosphere by going above and beyond to ensure residents feel valued and happy.
About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic person who loves connecting with others. To succeed in this role, you will need:
* To be working towards your QQI Level 5 major award in Healthcare Support (and have completed Care Skills and Care of the Older Person Modules).
* Be available to work days/ nights/ weekends.
* Some previous experience as a HCA or working with people living with dementia is preferable.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive approach, always putting residents' well-being and engagement first.
