Quality Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Officer to ensure our services meet the highest standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure homecare services comply with regulatory requirements, legislation and organizational policies.
* Communicate audit findings to key management and follow up on audit issues.
* Work with the Client Care team to ensure all assessments and reviews are kept up to date, meeting relevant requirements.
* Support the development and implementation of the Internal Audit department and its policies and procedures.
* Remain up to date with professional standards such as HIQA, HSE, HSA and all relevant legislation relevant to homecare.
* Monitor care plans and client feedback to assess the effectiveness of services and identify areas for improvement.
* Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
* Investigate complaints, incidents, and concerns raised by clients, families, or staff, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
* Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, reports, and audits.
* Assist with maintaining and enhancing the company's ISO 9001:2019 Quality Management Certification.
* Collaborate with other departments, including HR and Operations, to ensure consistent quality across all care services.
* Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Assist in preparing for external inspections and audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are in place.
Qualifications and Skills:
* QQI Level 7 in Healthcare/Social Studies or equivalent.
* Proven experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related field, preferably within the healthcare or homecare sector.
* In-depth knowledge of homecare standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data and trends to improve care delivery.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
* Proficient in using quality management software and IT.
* Demonstrate excellent cross-functional teamwork skills.
