The role of Planning and Logistics Manager is a diverse multi-faceted role supporting all sections across Asset Management. The role has 2 main functions:
* Management of the Stores process for entire Asset Management Function
* Managing the Maintenance Planning function for entire Asset Management Function
Responsibilities
* Lead the Inventory and Stores team to ensure inventory management good practices are maintained and improvements identified and applied.
* Accountable for ensuring the Asset Management Store operates seamlessly to meet the needs of all Asset Management maintenance activities and to ensure materials, equipment, and spare parts are available when required.
* Lead the planning function to drive and ensure asset reliability through the 6 Step Model and reporting catalogues. This is a business-critical role which oversees and tracks maintenance progress, implementing effective monitoring systems to ensure adherence to schedules and milestones.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers ensuring that business goals are aligned, and performance improvement is managed.
* Liaise with delivery and procurement to ensure efficient and effective framework agreements are in place with key spare parts suppliers.
* Collaborate with the asset management team in developing improved processes that reduce workflow inefficiencies and align with ISO55001/ISO5001/ISO45001/ISO14001.
* Lead the ISO auditing and actions ensuring the company adheres to the ISO requirements and manage the internal audit team function for asset management.
* Work with Asset Management Delivery team to determine optimum stock holding through supplier review to ensure best value is achieved.
* Benchmark against other airports to ensure performance at DAP is optimised against good practice.
* Facilitate incremental change, fostering and promoting a faster moving, more creative and agile work environment to keep pace with the marketplace.
* Contribute to a cultural evolution within Asset Management to stress the importance of building trust, developing new ways of working, supporting decision making and optimizing efficiencies through the increased use of technology.
* Implement, sustain, develop and optimize inventory management software solution including all associated interfaces with SSC/Procurement/Finance/Asset Management. This includes where appropriate the migration to a mobile platform.
* Act as a champion for Maximo ensuring functionality is fully utilised with the adoption of technology seen as having value within the team.
* Periodic review of metrics and scorecards to drive improved asset care and asset management performance at DAP.
* Develop, build and maintain key relationships across the business to support the delivery of good asset management practices.
Qualifications
Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Asset Management role.
* Experience of managing a team.
* Proven ability to influence & deliver change.
* Good Knowledge of inventory Management & Auditing processes.
Skills
* Ability to manage a team and drive improvements within the team.
* Excellent organisational skills.
Education & Qualifications
Degree in engineering, project management or equivalent.
Mandatory Practicing/Training/Compliance Certification.
