The principal duties of this position are as follows:
1. Analyse simple RFQs (Request For Quotation) and prepare costing as per standard process and tools.
2. Prepare offer documentation consistent with validated data provided by commercial support sales & opportunity team.
3. Perform simple risk analysis to mitigate against technical and commercial risk.
4. Support Tender Manager with the design product based solutions to meet customer specific requirements and RFQ specifications.
5. Document control management of bids submitted.
6. Liaise with other departments for day-to-day activities.
7. Work with remote teams (via online portals) to support technical configuration of the bid.
8. Provide technical guidance and support on product selection to sales & customers teams.
The ideal candidate shall have:
1. A focus in Electrical/Electronic Control Systems with a solid understanding of Building Management and/or Electrical Control / Monitoring Systems.
2. A team work mentality with self-motivation, initiative, flexibility and good time management skills who is prepared to work to strict deadlines.
3. Engineering education in Electrical Distribution, Control or Mechanical disciplines - minimum degree (level 7) or equivalent in related engineering discipline.
4. Good communication skills, essential for both internal and external contacts.
5. Ability to read and understand Mechanical & Electrical Distribution & Control Drawings to determine the basic requirements.
6. Experience in using design software, in particular AutoCAD 2D/3D and REVIT.
7. Ability to interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings to prepare design layout drawings for Schneider Canalis Busbar systems.
8. An aptitude for onsite work, which will involve liaising with on-site contractors to project manage the delivery and installation of Canalis Busbar Systems.
9. A customer focus with experience of the Schneider product offerings.
10. Computer literacy with good knowledge of Office programs (email / word/ excel/ PowerPoint).
11. Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
