Job Description
A key role in the GNI Finance Business Partnering Team, supporting operational performance management of the GNI business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Liaise with CFO colleagues and business stakeholders for timely financial information, analysis, and interpretation.
* Develop relationships with Directors, Function heads, and Finance team to provide value-added financial insights.
* Support Operations Business Partner in budget and forecast processes for COO, monitoring financial results.
* Provide Business Partnering services to CFO and CLO Pillars, including budget and forecast coordination.
* Assist in addressing financial concerns for opex/capital projects and costs, sharing insights with the wider Finance team.
* Ensure IFRS compliance for capitalised costs, working with other functions to capitalise assets correctly.
* Support monthly reviews and audits for commercial contracts and billing queries.
* Review PR's/PO's/expenditure to capture costs in correct projects and operations.
* Assist in initiating, implementing, and embedding change and project initiatives.
* Support Price Control requirements and deliver on related duties.
* Support GT22 and CRU annual reporting requirements.
* Administer Price Control Innovation funds and provide insights to the Network Innovation team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Relevant third-level degree and 2-3 years' experience.
* Recognised accounting qualification (ACA; ACMA; ACCA) or equivalent.
* Financial Planning and Analysis experience desirable.
* Strong Excel experience.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proven relationship-building skills and analytical abilities.
* Experience in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
* Ability to set high standards and deliver desired results.
This is a hybrid 2-day office-based contract in Cork or Dublin, with a specific purpose for 2 years.
