We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a Full-time basis.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30
Location: Churchtown, Dublin or Loughrea, Galway
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing and administering all aspects of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions. The Payroll Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, resolving payroll discrepancies, and collaborating with various departments to streamline payroll processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, payroll expertise, and the ability to work independently to ensure payroll operations run smoothly.
Main Purpose:
* Co-ordinating the processing & payment of bi-weekly, monthly and lunar payrolls.
* Calculation & administration of monthly Medical Aid, Pension & other payroll related deductions.
* Issuing of payslips, payroll related taxation, social welfare documents and other documentation.
* Preparation of monthly company benefits records and payments.
* Timely resolution of employee payroll queries.
* Support pension account reconciliations and payment of deductions in accordance with statutory requirements.
* Assisting to reconcile monthly payroll accounts and prepare necessary journal entries.
* Liaising with Operations Managers and the HR Team on employee, payroll and Time and Attendance queries and amendments.
Person Specification:
* Ability to quickly and effectively become familiar with our internal payroll platforms and procedures.
* A keen willingness to learn new tasks, be open to change and demonstrate a high degree of flexibility.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines set by the Payroll Manager.
* Experience of working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Experience processing end-to-end high-volume payrolls with regular changes.
* IPASS certified.
* Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
* Strong working knowledge of MS Office including intermediate to advanced Excel (vlookups and pivot tables).
