Job description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives through effective HR practices, talent management, employee engagement, and strategic partnership with business leaders. By aligning HR initiatives with business priorities and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
2. Translate business strategies into actionable HR initiatives and programs.
3. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
4. Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, or misconduct allegations.
5. Develop and maintain the HR function’s response and recovery plan during a disruptive incident, using the tools and templates provided by the local business continuity coordinator working within the BIE team.
6. Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
7. Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
8. Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
9. Collect and analyze HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
10. Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, and retention.
11. Conduct employee surveys or focus groups to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
12. Build strong relationships with business leaders and department heads to understand their needs and priorities.
13. Serve as a strategic advisor to management on HR-related matters, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
1. A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is often required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the logistics and shipping industry.
3. Progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on HR business partnering, employee relations, talent management, or organizational development.
4. Previous experience in a strategic HR role, working closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders, is highly desirable.
5. Experience in a specific industry or sector may be preferred, depending on the organization’s needs (e.g., logistic, Retail, healthcare, technology, finance).
6. Professional certifications such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources), or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). Is a Plus
7. Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
8. Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
