Client:
Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor EDA Software provider, requires a Senior C/C++ Validation Engineer for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.
Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through the development of validation tools and by executing end-to-end validation processes. You will lead our kit integration activities and validation efforts into distributed or globally dispersed product teams, ensuring consistent quality across multiple locations and time zones.
Responsibilities:
* Develop validation strategies and automated validation frameworks.
* Identify and document defects.
* Collaborate closely with software development and product teams to drive improvements.
* Execute tests, analyze and document results.
* Perform quality assurance, risk assessment, and collaboration with different product teams.
* Ensure the compliance of a product in line with department specifications.
* Examine, learn, and augment new technologies as needed to help innovate approaches to protecting our technology.
* Develop and maintain C/C++ applications using data structures and algorithms that interact with REST APIs.
* Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Perl, and Python to automate tasks and processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing scripts.
* Collaborate with team members to identify areas for automation.
* Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in C/C++ programming languages.
* Experience in scripting with Shell, Perl, and/or Python.
* Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
* Good knowledge of OOP concepts, Data Structures, and algorithms.
* Working knowledge of REST API principles and integrations.
* Knowledge of validation principles, methodologies, and regulations.
* Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
