Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager
This is a client-side role with positions open in Carlow, Wexford, and Kilkenny.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all buildings, services, and equipment under their control are adequately maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programmes.
1. Develop planned maintenance routines for all relevant equipment based on manufacturers' instructions, equipment importance, and usage rates.
2. Incorporate maintenance requirements in supply contracts for new equipment where appropriate.
3. Develop regular inspection and maintenance routines for all buildings, services, and equipment.
Capital/Maintenance Programmes
The successful candidate will assist in defining requirements for all equipment and buildings, focusing on ease of maintenance and operation. They will recommend awards of maintenance contracts to outside contractors where economically or practically desirable.
1. Develop proposals with selected contractors.
2. Obtain departmental approval to proposals as necessary.
3. Develop action plans for the timely and efficient completion of all contracts.
Supervision and Budget Management
The successful candidate will supervise staff and contractors in implementing the agreed programme and manage and control the agreed budget.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
* At least four years' experience in facilities management, construction, maintenance, or installation/maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and heating services in buildings.
