Job DescriptionAbout the Role:We are currently recruiting an experienced Accounts and Payroll Assistant on behalf of our client in the transport and logistics sector.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Carrigtwohill.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the accounts department, managing payroll, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.Key Responsibilities:Account Management & Client RelationsAct as the main point of contact for all customer account management matters.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.Negotiate and close agreements to maximize profitability.Develop trusted advisor relationships with key customer stakeholders and internal accounts staff.Ensure timely and successful delivery of services according to customer needs and goals.Accounts & Financial ManagementOversee the day-to-day functions of the accounts department.Document and process financial transactions, including ledger entries.Reconcile financial discrepancies and analyse account information.Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports.Maintain internal accounting controls and recommend improvements.Prepare and consolidate monthly and annual financial reports.Verify and process payments and disbursements.Make entries into the Intact Accounts package.Submit end-of-year accounts to the company's-chartered accountant.PayrollEnsure weekly payroll is processed accurately and on time.Distribute payslips to employees via email.Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.Compliance & ReportingAttend monthly management meetings and report on financial progress and departmental initiatives.Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.Perform regular database backups and ensure the security of financial information.Authority & Decision-MakingAuthorise payments as required by management.Prepare monthly accounts for review by the company accountant.Ensure ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance and communication across departments.RequirementsProven experience in accounts and payroll administration.Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting systems (Intact or similar).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS is an advantage.High attention to detail and strong analytical skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary (based on experience)Supportive team environmentFree parking onsiteRequirementsProven experience in accounts and payroll administration.
