AA Euro Group has been retained to recruit a quality manager for an exciting pharma project in Cork. The role is a key part of the construction management team and requires top-end experience working for main and management contractors in the pharma and construction space.
The Quality Manager promotes the Quality assurance ethos to be adopted across all projects both internally through communication and training of project staff and externally through liaison with GC and vendors as required.

The Role:
1. Responsible for all Electrical and Mechanical inspections relating to the installations, testing, and commissioning.
2. Develop and implement all plans for inspections, testing, and quality.
3. Liaise directly with the client for all QA/QC matters for the project duration.
4. Conduct inspections of all electrical installations and materials, ensuring all work is carried out in line with approved method statements and drawings.
5. Attend electrical inspections with client and contractors.
6. Preparation of weekly QA/QC reports from inspections, non-conformance, and actions.
7. Review designs/drawings to ensure they adhere to project requirements.
8. Ensure all company and sub-contractor equipment is calibrated and with valid certificates.
9. Review and prepare handover inspection, test documentation, and operation & maintenance manuals.
10. Represent the company during site and off-site meetings.
11. Review project specified requirements and schematics and understand the systems interaction and how they make up the installation.
12. Develop the Project Quality Plan for each project based on the system definitions and scopes, client’s specifications, and Industry standards applicable to each system using the company’s standard QA Plan template and company procedures and work instructions.
13. Develop the inspection and test plan for each discipline based on the specifics of the project specifications from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
14. Maintain the project QA dashboard for the project on a monthly basis.
15. Develop a systems handover list as part of the Project Quality Management System.
16. In collaboration with the project planner, include quality audit and hold points in the project plan.
17. Submit the Project Quality Plan for approval to the client.
Requirements:
1. Degree or trade qualified in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
2. 5+ years’ experience in a QA/QC role, ideally leading other team members.
3. Previous experience working on data centre projects would be ideal.
4. Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
