Senior Project Manager - Pharmaceutical Construction Projects
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead pharmaceutical construction projects in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of pharmaceutical construction projects.
2. Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organisational goals.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
4. Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards specific to pharmaceutical and bio-tech facilities.
6. Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Monitor and report on project progress, providing detailed updates to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices to optimise project outcomes.
9. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 5 years in pharmaceutical or bio-tech facility projects.
2. Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is desirable.
3. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical construction processes, cleanroom environments, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, EMEA standards).
4. Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage large-scale budgets, and deliver projects within scope and schedule.
5. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
6. Location Flexibility: Willingness to travel between Cork and Dublin as project demands require.
7. Skills: Proficient in project management tools and software; familiarity with BIM, Lean Construction, and other advanced methodologies is a plus.
