The 5* College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection (part of the MHL Hotel Collection and Marriott International) has an excellent opportunity for a MICE Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team.
Our ideal candidate:
* Minimum of 2 years' proactive Hotel Sales experience in a target-driven sales environment
* Hotel proactive MICE sales experience is preferred
* Bachelor’s degree with strong business acumen performance is preferred
* Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet deadlines
* Knowledge of Irish and Dublin corporate market is an advantage
* Knowledge of domestic corporates, Conference agents / DMC’s/PCO’s is an advantage
* Sales focused, target and results driven, with a track record in sales target success and over-achievement essential
* Must be a self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability
* Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation
* Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
* A commercial awareness and good understanding of yield management
* Confident, ambitious and pro-active, seeks out challenges and is driven by success
* Must have the capacity to respond to a fast-paced environment, with a multi-tasking ability in a changing environment
* The individual will be committed to assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Development
To assist with the developing and implementing of sales strategies for growth:
* Assist with the development, and proactively implement the annual MICE sales plan for the hotel.
* Manage own portfolio of existing and new local and national accounts in MICE and Film Production companies.
* Soliciting new business in the domestic MICE market from corporates, charities, associations, institutions, agents/venues finders including national conferences, meetings and events and award ceremonies.
* Identify and develop new business in the corporate groups segment targeting domestic clients.
* Seek to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing and new accounts through strategic planning and effective account management.
* Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams with customer visits, site inspections and familiarization trips
* Assist in the completion of regular SWOT analysis on competitor hotels identifying market threats, pressures and opportunities, ensuring activities reflect these, and advising senior management of this market information.
* Manage and undertake local, regional and national key account activities including appointments, fam trips, trade shows, networking events, workshops, presentations and sales missions.
* Promote and represent the hotel at domestic trade shows and events.
* Manage sales projects as per business requirements.
* Provide feedback to the Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager on local market conditions.
* Monitoring personal results and adjusting activities to ensure objectives and targets are reached.
* Understand and implement the hotel’s yield management strategies for both Rooms, Meetings & Events, Food and Beverage outlets.
* Maximise use of Marriott tools to support sales targeting
* Cross selling of all sister properties within the Group
