Your Role:
The Anaplan COE Analyst will support management in creating a top-notch financial systems environment. You'll develop expertise in the Bank's new forecasting tool, 'Anaplan', while championing change and technology within Group finance.
You'll be technically and commercially aware, adjusting quickly to changing environments, with an understanding of balance sheet dynamics, including asset quality, capital, and liquidity in banking.
Your Team:
Reporting to the Anaplan CoE Manager, your team supports shaping financial systems and modeling within Finance and the wider Bank. Primary responsibilities include:
* Designing, developing, and implementing models within the Anaplan platform
* Developing policy and best practices for Anaplan tool use across Group Finance
* Influencing business decisions through insightful business models
Your Responsibilities:
1. Support model design, development, and implementation within the Anaplan platform
2. Contribute to policy and best practices for Anaplan tool use across Group Finance
3. Champion change, driving continuous improvement and technology-led solutions for Management Information and Forecasting
4. Collaborate with colleagues across the Bank, particularly in Finance and Risk
5. Provide guidance on reflecting financial and regulatory requirements and metrics in Bank planning
6. Influence business decisions through insightful business models
7. Support annual budget, forecast, and medium-term plan preparation as part of strategic planning
8. Embed a robust control framework, review, and reconciliation process around material accounting and regulatory reporting balances
9. Act as the first line of defense against Operational Risk, ensuring functional activities meet all regulatory requirements and internal policies
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with planning tools like Anaplan for forecasting and strategic analysis
* Solid project management skills, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, conveying financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
* Able to work with large data volumes, deriving meaningful insights
* Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with knowledge of best practice financial processes/systems
* Change champion with a proactive approach to addressing challenges
* Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work independently
* Ambitious, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
* Strong Financial Acumen, Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) an advantage
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and SQL (an advantage)
