Essentials: Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or Project Management; minimum 5 years’ design experience in residential construction; strong understanding of building regulations; proven project management skills.
Location: Central Dublin - Office based
Salary: €90,000 - €100,000

Our client, a leading residential developer, is seeking a Pre-Construction Design Manager to oversee and streamline the pre-construction phase for their projects. Reporting to the Design Lead, this role is pivotal in uniting teams and driving innovative, collaborative design practices.
1. Pre-Construction Oversight: Manage reviews of acquisition projects, planning designs, and layouts, ensuring alignment with technical and design standards.
2. Design Standards: Support the creation, management, and maintenance of central design standards and technical library.
3. Collaboration: Coordinate with design leads for product, interiors, and landscaping to ensure consistency and integration into the design library.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct core checks on projects, including levels and substructure, and assess alignment with the technical library and design standards.
5. Documentation: Produce and manage guidance drawings and templates for logistics, program reviews, and project teams.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with various functions, including planning, commercial, site teams, sustainability, and sales, to drive pre-construction activities.
7. Innovation and Best Practices: Bring fresh, innovative approaches to collaborative design, challenging current methodologies, and streamlining processes.
