Our management team provides over 40 years’ experience in the areas of project management, civil, structural and fire safety engineering. We are an expanding company with a consistent stream of work ahead of us from our clients which include Local Authorities, State Bodies, Large Scale National and International Investment Companies and Large-scale development companies. Role Responsibilities:
1. Lead Structural Design Engineer on Commercial and Residential Projects.
2. Attendance of meetings/represent company as project lead.
3. Civil/structural engineering design of residential and commercial developments.
4. The production of drawings, reports, calculations and structural specifications.
5. Supervision of construction projects.
6. Management and co-ordination of BCAR Activities.
7. Site inspections for BCAR Compliance.
8. Preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings.
9. Co-ordination of tender packages for residential and commercial projects.
10. Completion of Structural and Conditions Surveys.
11. Management and mentoring of engineers/technicians to ensure works are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
12. Any other roles/duties as required within the company.
Key Requirements:
1. Excellent technical knowledge.
2. Hold a degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering (Level 8).
3. Chartered Engineer Status.
4. The candidate should be proficient in Design Software, Microsoft Office, Project and AutoCAD/Revit.
5. Strong interpersonal/people skills.
6. Strong knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations.
7. Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
8. Ability to lead the design of small and large-scale projects.
9. Have an ability to modify/improve existing designs to facilitate ease of construction.
10. Have a flexible approach to work and an ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
11. Manage multi-projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.
12. Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
13. Have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of the team.
14. Own transport is required and ability to travel to nationwide sites/meetings/inspections.
