Project Manager Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in County Tipperary, Ireland. The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of contracts, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
Main Responsibilities
* Chair regular meetings with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure progress aligns with planned programs.
* Provide clear, concise, and accurate reporting on project progress and advise on any variances or reasons for variance.
* Collaborate with the Head of Contracts and QS's to ensure all financial information is relevant, accurate, and on time.
* Attend sub-contractor and client meetings as required, maintaining positive working relationships and acting as an ambassador for the Company.
* Develop and adhere to detailed on-site and off-site programs for assigned projects, regularly reporting progress against these targets.
* Pre-plan material, manpower, and equipment requirements to achieve site program goals and support Site Managers as needed.
* Provide technical support at tender stage where applicable.
* Take responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects, advising on construction work aspects, including methods, build, design, and potential issue resolution.
* Lead design management and review on design and build projects when applicable.
* Assist Site Managers in managing sub-contractors, including recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
* Oversee the allocation of trades and labor, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources on assigned projects.
* Monitor and manage sub-contractor/supplier performance, keeping the project team informed of poor performance.
* Support objectives implementation onsite, attending audit meetings.
* Adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Liaise with Quality department to expedite disposition of rejected materials.
Requirements
* Bachelor Degree.
* Experience in a similar role and industry.
* Experience in similar roles within the construction industry.
* Full clean driving license for Ireland.
* Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Word and Teams.
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Basic understanding of construction contractual terms.
* Problem-solving skills, taking initiative to find solutions with strong communication skills.
* Excellent client and project management skills, with great communication abilities.
* Able to provide clear direction, delegate tasks fairly, motivate others, and encourage responsibility.
* Stay up-to-date with competitor information and market trends, identify business opportunities, demonstrate financial awareness, and control costs.
* Work effectively in high-pressure environments, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a positive outlook.
* Effective listening skills, express opinions clearly, make presentations confidently, and write succinctly.
