Physiotherapist Role
The physiotherapist will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality physiotherapy services to children and families with visual impairment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Practice:
o Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of children with visual impairments and potentially other disabilities.
o Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
o Provide a range of physiotherapy interventions specific to each child's needs.
o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, making adjustments as needed.
* Service Delivery:
o Contribute to the overall service delivery of Child Vision.
o Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practice standards.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
o Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
o Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
* Professional Development:
o Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain competence and stay updated with the latest advancements in physiotherapy.
o Participate in relevant training and workshops.
* Teamwork:
o Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
o Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.
o Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or master's in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* CORU Registration essential.
* Experience in paediatric physiotherapy, preferably in a disability setting.
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge of physiotherapy techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience working with children with visual impairment.
* Experience in working with children with complex disabilities.
* Knowledge of child development and developmental delay.
Terms & Conditions:
* Reporting to: Clinical Lead.
* Probationary period: 2 months, with three probationary meetings to review performance and suitability for appointment.
* Annual leave entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum.
* Pension Scheme: Contributory pension scheme available to all employees.
* Garda Clearance/Police Clearance: Required for prospective employees undertaking work or activities relating to children or vulnerable persons.
* Pay: Salary Scale Range €40,325-€57,321 (pro rata).
* Sick Pay: All periods of sickness exceeding 3 days must be medically certified.
