Shorla Oncology has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join our growing team on a 14-month contract. This position will afford exposure to a broad range of operational learning opportunities and professional development in a scaling organization.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. HR Operations:
1. Ensure successful onboardings and off-boardings, terminations and offers of employment.
2. Track and manage annual leaves, sick leaves and other leave types.
3. Keep up to date and accurate personnel records.
4. Share information with the Accounts team for payroll purposes.
5. Manage the performance management processes.
6. Manage the learning and development processes.
2. Recruitment:
1. Responsible for end-to-end recruitment activities.
2. Engage with third-level institutions for internship and graduate opportunities, careers open days, talks and other events.
3. Employee Engagement:
1. Undertake annual employee survey and make improvements based on the results.
2. Foster a positive work environment.
4. Employee Relations:
1. Mediates and resolve conflicts, ensuring that policies are followed and fostering a respectful workplace.
2. Provide advice and guidance on HR-related matters as they arise.
5. HR Compliance and Policies:
1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal US labor laws and employment regulations, and EU (Ireland, US and UK) employment legislation.
2. Review and update HR policies and practices to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
3. Proactively keeping abreast of legislation changes.
4. Handle legal employment issues should they arise.
6. HRIS:
1. Design, implement, and maintain an HRIS system that meets the needs of the company.
2. Ensure that all HR data is accurate, consistent, and secure.
7. Other:
1. Handle ESG related activities such as completion of annual ESG surveys, tracking carbon footprint and reviewing potential suppliers from an ESG perspective.
2. Be an advocate for data protection and cyber security within the company.
3. Drive CSR initiatives.
Required Experience and Education:
* Education – third level qualification in HRM.
* At least 5 years professional experience in HR roles.
* Experienced in the use of HR information systems.
Our offices are based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and we facilitate a flexible hybrid working policy where we alternate working from home with regular visits to the office for in-person interactions with your colleagues. You will also work closely with our commercial team and other colleagues who are based in the USA.
