Overview Our client, a leading financial services organization based in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical technology initiatives.
This role is ideal for a project manager with a strong technical background who can navigate complex IT environments, manage cross-functional teams, and drive projects to completion within a fast-paced financial setting.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between IT, business units, vendors, and regulatory bodies to align project objectives and priorities.
Technical Oversight: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Risk & Compliance: Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and security standards.
Agile & Waterfall Execution: Lead Agile ceremonies while also working within structured project governance frameworks typical in financial services.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in financial services, banking, or fintech.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and cybersecurity principles .
Experience managing regulatory and compliance-driven projects within the financial sector.
Proficiency in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies .
Expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.
Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project management tools .
Preferred Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps methodologies.
Familiarity with data governance, risk management, and regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., GDPR, Basel III, MiFID).
