Our client, a successful food manufacturer, is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and optimise operations, manufacturing, inventory, staffing and scheduling
2. Day to day management of the manufacturing facility
3. Manage assigned budgets
4. Implement procedures to improve efficiencies and reduce overall costs
5. Work with all other department heads
6. Provide regular reports to the Managing Director regarding budgeted KPI’s, Team Training & Development, etc.
7. Ensure adherence to all company procedures as outlined
8. Direct responsibility for full quality and safety compliance, including ensuring adherence to the Food Hygiene and EH&S legislation
9. Maintain operating standards and ensure overall operational excellence
10. Support the General Manager in appraisals
11. Recruitment, Training and Development of all Staff in support of Departmental Heads on site
12. Awareness of and adaptability to the seasonal realities of the business
13. Other duties as required by Management
Requirements:
1. 5+ years experience in a similar role
2. Experience in Food or Drink manufacturing is a distinct advantage
3. Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
4. Ability to manage, develop and influence a team
5. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite
6. Budget management skills
7. Ability to positively implement change
