We are currently looking to hire an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. We seek a candidate who is Honest, Consistent and Passionate and takes pride in a job well done.
Role Requirements:
1. Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members.
2. Provides feedback, training and pre-service briefings to the Team regularly.
3. Sets high standards for appropriate team behaviour on shift and treats all Team Members fairly, with respect.
4. Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
5. Communicates with the kitchen regarding any menu questions, delays or guest requirements.
6. Communicates allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
7. Maintains cleanliness of work areas, cutlery, glass, etc. throughout the shift.
8. Reviews order dockets ensuring accurate and timely preparations for order requirements accordingly.
9. Presents accurate final bill to guest and processes payment.
10. Takes an active role in coaching and developing junior staff.
11. Ensures that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house areas.
12. Handles guest complaints in restaurants and ensures issues are resolved on the spot.
13. Arranges in conjunction with DOR and OM for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
14. Balances cash and credit cards against daily sales; all deposits, invoices and daily sales are recorded as per company procedures.
15. Is capable of handling irate customers with a friendly/calm attitude.
16. Is flexible in dealing with changes/problems (e.g., being short-staffed).
17. Shifts priorities and goals as work demands change.
18. Prioritizes tasks effectively to ensure most important tasks are completed on time.
19. Delegates and follows up effectively.
20. Takes ownership of issues or tasks and provides detailed updates to the DOR manager and the Executive Chef.
21. Seeks, listens and responds to Guest feedback as per company policy.
22. Takes accountability for problems.
23. Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) software.
24. Works closely with Sales and Marketing teams.
Key Attributes:
1. Must be able to work all shifts including late finishes, weekends, and holidays.
2. Must be able to lead a team and have excellent organization skills.
3. Requires fluency in the English language.
4. A minimum of 1 year previous hospitality experience in a managerial position is essential.
5. Has a great knowledge and passion for F&B.
6. Must be a team player and have a "can do" attitude.
7. Ability to handle pressure and busy periods.
8. Must be clean, punctual, and professional in work and appearance.
