Planet Pharma is currently seeking an experienced Project Design Lead Manager to join our team. This is a full-time role that will require you to be based entirely on-site in Cork, Ireland. You'll be the Project Design Manager who will oversee the coordination of the Design team for the project, which mainly includes the engineering partner. You'll also facilitate collaborations within the suite team to support design activities, such as workshops and documentation. This will include managing the design delivery, ensuring proper documentation, and supporting qualification efforts.

Responsibilities:
* Lead the client-side Project Design team, working closely with external Engineering Providers (EP).
* Ensure that EP teams are prioritizing tasks and delivering according to scope and construction schedule needs, escalating issues as required.
* Monitor and critically assess the accuracy of information used to support KPIs.
* Oversee project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with established objectives.
* Collaborate with EP, Construction Management (CM), Quality Control (CQ), and other departments to plan and execute scope efficiently.
* Provide regular status updates to the Core team and Project Management, ensuring clear communication of progress.
* Ensure all work is managed in line with procedures and best practices, in partnership with the technical lead.
* Take the lead, with EP, CM, and relevant partners, in managing cost, risk, change, and scheduling efforts for the design team.
* Keep decision, risk, and action logs up to date and ensure effective follow-through.
* Resolve cross-functional issues affecting the design team or broader project efforts.
* Track and compare the Design team's performance (cost, effort, scope, etc.) to the project management plan and baseline.
* Engage with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure the project meets business needs and strategic objectives.
* Ensure that lessons learned, changes, and impacts are captured by all project leads throughout the project's lifecycle.
Required Experience:
* Proven experience as a Design Manager for large-scale capital projects (>€200M), managing EP teams on design.
* Strong background in managing project scope, cost, and schedule.
* Prior experience in managing pharmaceutical projects (€200M+).
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) projects.
* Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
