12 months in the Communications Division.This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 grade and the BP3 salary scale, between €61,092 and €81,235 applies.

The purpose of the Communications Specialist role is to act as a media contact and spokesperson for the organisation, as well as advising colleagues and senior management on communications strategies.
The role requires strong collaboration with colleagues across the organisation and within the Communications Division, including leading communications initiatives.
Responsibilities: Act as media contact and spokesperson for the organisation, and social media lead for the media relations team.
Work with and advise colleagues at all levels within the Bank, including senior and divisional management to anticipate, strategise and manage the Bank's communications.
Input to policy decision-making process across the Central Bank, so that decision-makers develop a good understanding of communications implications and possible ramifications of policy actions taken.
Coordinate the development of and implement communications strategies, including internal, outdoor, digital and social media campaigns, ensuring consistency of tone and voice across media and social outputs.
Undertake stakeholder communications and engagement activities to include advising and accompanying senior management during media and public engagements as required, developing media briefing material and managing press conferences.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
Represent the organisation on working groups and committees in Ireland and abroad, as required.
Requirements: A qualification or suitable current experience in the following: corporate or public sector communications, journalism, public relations, or other relevant discipline Three years in a communications management role Demonstrated experience in managing social media outputs Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the media landscape, news agenda, political and international events Ability to build and maintain relationships; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade, challenge and influence at a peer and senior level A demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues and handle unpredictable issues as they arise Excellent written and oral communication skills An ability to quickly formulate responses/ produce content Competency in Adobe Premiere, multi media content preferable Knowledge of all social platform reporting tools Strong research skills We know it's our people who make the Central Bank special and we are focused on creating a diverse, inclusive, fulfilling and progressive work environment.
