We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Associate Director to lead a Bridge Design Team in Dublin or Cork office. Requirements:
* Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Bridge/Senior Bridge Engineer, with at least 10 years of experience on Irish projects.
* Chartered Bridge Engineer (CEng, MIStructE, or equivalent).
* Extensive knowledge and experience in bridge design, inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation.
* Proficiency in Eurocodes and structural analysis software such as MIDAS Civil or LUSAS.
* Experience in the design and refurbishment of concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
* Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills with experience in client-facing roles.
* Previous staff management experience.
* Ireland and/or UK experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead and manage a team of bridge engineering professionals, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
* Business Development: Drive business growth by leading tender bids and securing professional services contracts.
* Resource Planning: Plan and manage resources effectively to meet short, medium, and long-term project goals.
* Design Oversight: Provide expert design input and oversee the structural aspects of bridge projects.
* Project Management: Manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
* PSDP Duties: Assist in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) to ensure safety and compliance.
