Compliance Officer Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at {company}, a Charity based in Dublin 15. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the charity is compliant with all relevant regulations and legal requirements.
* Provide regular reports to the Executive and CEO on compliance status.
* Monitor changes in legislation and take necessary actions to maintain compliance.
* Act as a point of contact for the organisation with the externally appointed Data Protection Officer.
* Work closely with the CEO and Data Protection Officer to ensure General Data Protection Regulation compliance across the organisation.
* Assist the CEO in developing and implementing an HR Strategy for the Association.
* Collaborate with the Risk Officer to identify, manage, and mitigate risk across the organisation.
* Ensure timely updates to the association's risk registers.
* Coordinate the Internal Audit schedule.
Requirements:
* Three years of relevant experience preferably in Social Housing or the voluntary sector.
* In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: Approved Housing Body Regulation, Charities Regulation, Residential Tenancies Acts Compliance, GDPR, Human Resources, Health & Safety.
* Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies.
* Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
