Job Description
CSR is a well-established, award-winning national practice, offering full Landscape Architectural, Environmental and Town Planning, and Arboricultural services. The practice has a broad and expanding portfolio of parks and public open space design, masterplanning and public realm work, commercial and residential projects, landscape and countryside resource planning and landscape planning / impact assessment projects. We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Landscape Architect and Revit Designer to join our friendly team in Dublin, Cork, or Galway. These dispersed locations coupled with the new working practices offer a range of flexible opportunities to the right candidates.
The role of a Senior REVIT Designer / Landscape Architect in CSR is to take a lead on a range of projects, including strategic planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration, residential and environmental enhancement schemes.
You will demonstrate a technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following:
1. Development of our Revit product in CSR, leading the design and efficient delivery of design projects through the REVIT process and mentor / coach more junior staff assigned to develop their REVIT skills.
2. Working as a Project Manager, project management responsibilities, including contractual, financial and programme management.
3. Establish strong working relationships with other members of the landscape team and internal teams across the business.
4. Develop and manage the work of others.
5. Clear communication, including the ability to write concise technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings and workshops.
6. Be client facing and respond to client requirements.
7. Produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development: strategies, conceptual design, detailed design and production information.
8. Compile tender submissions and secure new work.
9. Have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance to teach and develop junior staff particularly in REVIT.
10. Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
11. Be aware of and understand CSR’s procedures, their importance and their application to projects.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. Third Level Qualification as Architectural Technician, Architect, Engineer, Landscape Architecture, or similar.
2. Degree or Masters in Landscape Architecture or equivalent desirable.
3. Full driving licence.
4. Design creativity, creating and implementing designs.
5. Development plans and planning policies.
6. Detailed design construction knowledge.
7. Guidelines and regulations relating to noxious weeds and plant diseases.
8. Contract requirements for RIAI, IEI, NRA/TII and public procurement.
9. Building development regulations and guidelines.
10. Health & safety in construction regulations.
11. REVIT experience over several years.
