CREGG is currently recruiting an experiencedPayroll Services Managerto join a very well-known client based in Galway. This role will require the candidate to be based onsite ona permanentbasis.This position reports to the Associate Finance Director & leads a very experienced team of payroll specialists. Role Purpose This role is responsible for the delivery of payroll services to our ~4000 employees of which ~2,200 are paid weekly & ~1800 are paid monthly. Lead team ofpayroll specialists to ensure efficient, on-time & compliant payroll for our 4,000 employees. Lead end to end enhancement payroll process review for weekly & monthly payrolls in light of scale of growth on site & new government initiatives. Review & sign-off on payroll in line with company policy & best practices in payroll controls. Responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR. Automate reporting and partner with our payroll software provider to ensure optimum use ofsoftware. Compliance Ensure payroll processes meet all local regulations & corporate policies. Lead all audit engagements for Payroll External audits, Internal Audits & SOX compliance framework. Payroll Accounting Ensure compensation & benefit information is corrected accounted for in P&L & Balance Sheet. Payroll analytics Develop suite of metrics to monitor the efficiency of payroll process & to share any key trends or highlights with site leadership team. Assignees (Inbound & Outbound) Partner with our Global Mobility team to ensure appropriate taxation for assignees. Keep up to date with all legislation changes which may impact payroll. Project manage their implementation to ensure effective & compliant implementation. Support payroll information requirements for planning/forecasting processes & for state aid (RD Tax Credits, IDA grants) Partner with HR team on any pay impacting programs & lead their implementation from a payroll services perspective. Lead refresh of contingency plans. Collaborate & best practice sharing with peers in our sister sites in Clonmel & Cork. Lead, engage & develop team members Qualifications/Experience Level 8 Bachelors Degree (240 credits) in relevant area (E.g. Commerce, Business, Accounting). In depth knowledge of Irish employment tax ideally supported with a recognised qualification from ITI, IPASS or similar. Experience running payroll services for similar scale company with passion for customer service. Proven ability to work & communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. Proven track record of leading & developing teams. Proven track record of identifying & implementing process improvements.
